  • What's the dress code for Oktoberfest?

Most Oktoberfest visitors wear traditional Bavarian clothes, which is a "Dirndl" for women and "Lederhosen" for men.

This is by all means not mandatory, there are also people who are dressed in casual clothes.

However, we do recommend to dress up as you will feel a lot more integrated in the whole Oktoberfest theme by wearing the traditional Bavarian outfit.

Please avoid wearing cheap plastic costumes as you will immediately stick out as a tourist. Dirndl and Lederhosen are not considered a costume for locals and for that reason the plastic version of the traditional clothes is only worn by tourists and can even be seen as disrestpectfull.

Wearing comfortable shoes and bringing a jacket is a must for any outfit :-)

  • Will there also be a tour if it rains?

Our tours also take place if it rains.

On rainy days we do suggest to bring a rain proof jacket and an umbrella.

  • What is the age minimum for the Oktoberfest Tours?

Everyone from age 18 can join our tours.

  • What kind of food is served at Oktoberfest?

At Oktoberfest you can find a wide variety of traditional Bavarian food.

The most popular food options inside the Oktoberfest tents are 1/2 roast chicken with an Oktoberfest Pretzel.

Other popular main dishes are pork roast or roasted pork knuckle with dumplings, Wiener Schnitzel, Currywurst and Käsespätzle ("Bavarian mac and cheese").

In the many food stalls of Oktoberfest you can find a big variety of sweet food, the most popular here are roasted almonds and ginger hearts. The iconic ginger hearts are more used as decoration than to eat nowadays but also taste delicious. Inside the Oktoberfest tents you can order a plate of Apfelstrudel or Kaiserschmarrn as delicious dessert.

  • What kind of beer is served at Oktoberfest?

At Oktoberfest you can enjoy the beers from Munich breweries. Inside the big beer tents the beer options are usually limited to Helles (lager beer) and Radler (shandy - a Helles mixed with sparkling lemonade).

The Helles served at Oktoberfest is usually a special Oktoberfest brew that is stronger than the usual Helles beer.

  • What are the Oktoberfest tent options?

There are 17 big beer tents at the Oktoberfest festival grounds and many more small tents and bars, each with individual themes and decorations.

Here you can find an overview of the big Oktoberfest tents.

The typicall Oktoberfest music are songs that can easily be singed along with by the crowds in the beer tents. The Oktoberfest songs never fail to create a the best mood and vibe which the famous Oktoberfest is known for.

Here you can find out more about the most popular Oktoberfest music hits.

  • How many days should you spend at Oktoberfest?

We recommend to spend at least two days at Oktoberfest.

In that way you can dedicate one day to drinking the one liter beers in one of the Oktoberfest tents or beer gardens and then spend the other day strolling around at the festival grounds outside the beer tents enjoying fairy wheels, food stalls, roller coasters and much more.

But it is up to you, personally we like to spend a lot more than just two days at Oktoberfest.

Especially beer lovers will not regret spending as many days as possible at Oktoberfest  :-)
